Shortly before I woke up, someone sent me a link for Anon IB, also known as AnusIB. It was the first thing I clicked on after I wiped the crust out of my bleary eyes and began crushing up the morning dose of Viagra to snort up my nose. I guess I wasn’t as awake as I thought, because I spent a good half hour convinced I was looking at 4chan. I kept refreshing the random board, thinking, “Man, /b/ doesn’t get nearly as much activity anymore, does it? They seem a lot happier these days, too.”

As it turns out, AnonIB.ru isn’t 4chan, though it looks to be running on the same software, with the same exact layout and swappable color schemes. The most significant difference is that this anonymous image board is devoted entirely to porno. You can get your daily dose of celebrity nudes and amateur chubbies without being subjected to car crash photos, animal torture GIFs or the angry banter of furiously racist incels.

4chan vs AnusIB (aka AnonIB)

I’m sure you’ve been thinking this a lot in the year 2022, but we live in a weird, fucked-up world. 4chan is a wildly popular site, pulling in 50 million visitors a month to chat anonymously about video games, cartoons, toys, anime, sex, mass murder and the plight of any straight white male who can’t get laid due to a lack of basic social skills. AnonIB’s got almost the exact same formula, but stripped of the violence, misanthropy and general bad vibes, not to mention the popularity. They’re still getting under 2 million views a month.

Maybe it’s too early to draw conclusions about society based on the relative popularity of both sites. After all, AnonIB is a much younger site than the ‘chan. The domain was registered at the very tail end of 2019, but they’ve been around in some form or another since 2018, with archives to prove it. Their profile has certainly exploded over the course of the last six months, their traffic rising steadily as more people catch word of what they’re offering. I wonder how much of that they owe to the pandemic, and perverts stuck at home with nothing to do but share porn anonymously.

I know it sounds weird to call AnusIB a cleaned-up version of 4chan, but that’s how I see it. I don’t mean clean like the Disney channel where all the abuse happens off-camera. I mean clean like your typical porn site, where your fap sessions aren’t in constant danger of being ruined by an ISIS execution or some teenager threatening to kill himself and his family if you don’t post in his thread. At AnonIB, it’s all porn, all the time. No gore, no incel ranting or racism, no bullshit.

Everything’s on the Menu at AnusIB

4chan’s Random board, also called /b/, has been referred to as the butthole of the Internet. It’s a non-stop, round-the-clock discussion of everything from naked ladies to Donald Trump to images of horrific war crimes. By contrast, AnonIb’s version of /b/ is a much slower-paced place where people share any kind of nudes. Some of the threads have been kicking for literally months, going long in the light chit-chat as they swap naked French girls, homemade BJ pics, muscular babes, candids and a couple home BDSM shots.

I’ll be honest: as a guy who gets laid on the regular, I’ve never quite fit in over at 4chan, despite what’s supposed to be a diversity of topic-based boards. With that in mind, I clicked the California link. I was right: people have been discussing and trading pics of the local hotties all morning. If every state is getting this much attention when the traffic’s only at a couple million a month, imagine how active it’s going to be when they get even more popular. Pretty soon, you’ll start spotting pictures of your sister and cousins around here, even if you ain’t the one posting them.

AnonIB.ru doesn’t have that front-page selection of Popular Threads like you’ll find on 4chan. They do, however, have a Recent Posts section that does exactly what it says on the tin. Not only do the Recent Posts showcase the newest material, but they also show you exactly how often anonymous users are adding new content to AnusIB’s shelves. AnonIB.ru is a 4chan clone with a much tighter focus on beating off to beautiful women, without any of the edgy kid bullshit that makes 4chan such a hard site to masturbate to. The anonymous imageboard format lends itself well to the site’s many genre-based subforums, but really shines in their local boards devoted to your state’s local babes.
